What do you enjoy most about your role and how did you get into the logistics industry?
I got into the logistics industry in 2011 from a friend I used to go to Greek Camp with! What I enjoy most about my role is the non-stop, fast paced atmosphere of the freight industry. I also enjoy the idea of building something and growing, both personally and professionally, within my company. Within my role specifically, I enjoy helping others and being someone they can lean on and feel supported by.
What’s your favorite part about working with customers?
What’s one challenge in logistics you love helping customers solve?
I love meeting new customers and getting to know them over the years. It’s often forgotten about, but we speak to our customers everyday for years on end. This type of social interaction strengthens the human spirit.
I love coming up with a solution when things go sideways on a load. For example, just the other day I had a driver who mistakenly delivered pallets for a multi-stop load 181 miles away from his location. The customer asked me to have him go back, but I thought it would be better to pay a NEW carrier a little extra money to save time and keep the customers rate the same. The misdelivered product ended up being delivered on time, and the customer paid the same. I lost a portion of the profit, but this is what we do for our customers.

Do you have any hidden talents or hobbies most people don’t know about?
I love sharks and have 3 shark tattoos.
